NEED A NEW ROOF?
MAKE IT FORTIFIED.
Certified FORTIFIED Roofing is built Texas tough. Protect your home with science-backed standards, premium GAF materials, and Revamped Roofing craftsmanship.
WHAT IS FORTIFIED?
A FORTIFIED Roof is a roofing system designed by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) to outperform standard building codes and protect homes from hurricanes, hail, and high-wind Texas storms.
Revamped Roofing is a certified FORTIFIED Contractor trained through IBHS and partnered with GAF to install stronger roofing systems using premium materials and enhanced installation standards. When storms hit Texas, a FORTIFIED Roof keeps your home protected and your family safe.
Stronger Than Just Code
FORTIFIED Roofing uses IBHS-certified construction methods that go far beyond typical roofing standards. Upgraded nailing, sealed decks, and reinforced edges protect your home from wind uplift and water intrusion.
Saves You Money
FORTIFIED roofing systems reduce risk and many insurance carriers offer premium credits because of it. Ask your insurer how upgrading to a FORTIFIED Roof can save you money year after year. Connect through small groups, events, and fellowship as we grow in faith and support one another.
Certified Installation With GAF Quality
Your roof is built using GAF's industry-leading materials and installed by a FORTIFIED Certified Roofer ensuring every component meets the standards needed for Texas storm resilience.

FORTIFIED ROOF
STRONGER EDGES
Roof damage often begins when wind gets underneath the roof edge and begins ripping it away from the home. To help protect this vulnerable area, FORTIFIED requires specific materials and installation methods, including a wider drip edge and a fully adhered starter strip, that when used together create a stronger system.
SEALED ROOF DECK
If wind rips off your roof coveringsuch as shingles, metal panels or tilesit exposes the wood beneath and allows water to pass through the gaps and enter your home. FORTIFIED requires roof decks to be sealed to prevent this type of water damage.
BETTER ATTACHMENT
Instead of common smooth nails, FORTIFIED requires ring-shank nails, installed in an enhanced pattern, to help keep the roof deck attached to your home in high winds. In fact, using ring-shank nails nearly doubles the strength of your roof against the forces of wind.
IMPACT-RESISTANT SHINGLES
In hail-prone areas, homeowners are encouraged to opt for the Hail Supplement to their FORTIFIED designation. To achieve this added level of protection, shingles must score Good or Excellent on the Hail Impact-Resistant Shingle Ratings. These outperform typical Class 4 shingles when tested against realistic hailstones and will better protect your home from hail up to 2" in diameter.

HIGH WINDS
- Light winds (below 40 mph) can loosen roof shingles and siding, break small tree branches, and blow around unsecured outdoor items.
- Moderate winds (40-54 mph) can tear off older roof shingles, damage awnings, and lead to debris that breaks windows and topples shallow-rooted trees.
- Strong winds (55-73 mph) can cause substantial damage to roofs, windows, manufactured awnings, and overturn mobile homes.
- Severe winds (74+ mph) can tear off roofs, collapse walls, topple trees, and turn unsecured objects into dangerous projectiles, and even destroy homes.
HAIL
- Last year, more than 4,000 hailstorms caused over a billion dollars in damage across the United States. Nearly all these storms forced homeowners to file insurance claims and pay deductibles as high as 5% of their home.
- Got Hail? In hail-prone areas, homeowners are encouraged to opt for the Hail Supplement to their FORTIFIED designation. To achieve this added level of protection, shingles must score Good or Excellent on the IBHS Hail Impact-Resistant Shingle Ratings.
